If you live in Minnesota or near by, Mystic Lake show room is a great place to see a concert. Great sight lines, helpful staff and a big bar. Plus the restaurants are all incredible. Alice Cooper made a stop at Mystic Lake on Friday night with his all new show. Complete with a new stage and all new set list from the last few years. The latest stage set is a really cool looking castle complete with multi levels and amazing lighting.

Equally as impressive as the stage was the set list. As a long time Alice Cooper fan, I love how he mixes up the set list. Even if you see him once every year, you will see a different set of songs. Some of the standouts for me were “Steven”, “Escape”, Raped and Freezin'”, “Muscle Of Love” and “Bed Of Nails”. If you are reading this and are not familiar with these songs, take the time to check them out.

Another fun thing to see as an Alice Cooper fan is how the character of Alice has changed over the years. He is now almost in contempt of the audience, He looks down on them like they are his minions. Remember this is a character he plays, Alice Cooper the man loves his fans. It’s sad that I even have to say that but people take everything out of context. Its just like the old days of Kiss, Gene Simmons was truly a demon. It’s fun for me to go to a show like this and get lost in the character and music.

I can’t think of  time I have seen Alice Cooper when he has not had the finest musicians supporting him. This band in my opinion is the best he has ever had. Glen Sobel who is an amazing dummer, Chuck Garric the bass player who also tours with Beasto Blanco (another band you should check out), Ryan Roxie guitars who has some cool solo cd’s out, Tommy Henriksen guitars who plays with the Hollywood Vampires and Nita Strauss lead guitar who is truly amazing. All of these talented people are the driving force that delivers the true rock n roll spirit of the music. This is NOT a studio band, they are a rock band!

If you have seen Alice Cooper many times, not since the 1970’s or never at all then you owe it to yourself to get out there and see this show when it comes to your town. Another band you will thank me for encouraging you to see.
