EP REVIEW: Blind Perception – Blind Perception

Self-Released - July 2018

Formed in 2016 in Southern Indiana Blind Perception is a 4-piece hard rock band with, as they say in their bio, “an eclectic mix of influences spanning 4 decades” and this 4 song EP is worth your attention if you’ve an open mind and a love of Rock from the 60’s to 90’s spanning a little Prog, Blues and traditional Hard Rock.

Opener ‘I Can’t Breathe’ is their standard fare, great guitars and upfront vocals, it’s hard not to like instantly. Next up ‘Buffalo Chip’ though is the one for me, great drums and vocals made to sing a long to, it’s a down and dirty song with a sugar smooth chorus that is just something a little different and as a result it gets the big thumbs up.

‘Left me Bad’ brings a bluesy tone, and there’s a great vibe and groove with a Southern styling that makes you want to get up and boogie. The all too short EP ends with ‘The Struggle’ a nice straight up rock tune that seems to grab a tittle from those four decades and dish it up nicely. Let’s hope there’s more to come.
