Claim The Throne (WA) side projects ‘Spherical’ and ‘Elderflower’ out now

Spherical Blue

BLUE is the first release from Australian metal band, SPHERICAL, featuring members of Claim the Throne and Bane of Isildur. Progressive and extreme, BLUE is a reflection on the sounds and colours of a bleak winter’s morning in a eucalypt forest.

The EP was mastered by the legendary Al “Dr Alien” Smith at Bergerk! Studios, and artwork was provided by Lord of the Logos, Christophe Szpadjel.

ELDERFLOWER’s self-titled debut EP is a brooding melodic death metal release delivering an epic blend of brutal vocals alongside melancholic female harmonies. The incorporation of haunting piano and uplifting strings compliment the heavy guitars and drums, making this a destructive yet ambient piece of unique metal.

Recently winning the 2019 ‘Song of the Year Award’ under the Heavy Metal category for West Australian Music (WAM), Elderflower is the brain-child of Jesse Millea known for her keyboard compositions and vocal performances with the likes of metal acts such as Claim The Throne and Red Descending. Combining her epic sounds with the unforgiving death metal vocals of John Ryan (Suffer In Rot) and drumming prowess of Ash Large (Claim The Throne, Spherical), the listener is guaranteed a metal experience like no other.

Drums & Piano recorded in Mannheim, Germany at Rama Tonstudio with Jens Siefert. Guitar & Vocals recorded and mixed in Perth, Australia at Bottleneck Studios with Ash Large. Mastered by Al ‘Dr Alien’ Smith of Bergerk! Studios.
