Melbourne rock act El Colosso announce European tour dates

El Colosso

EL COLOSSO is touring Europe this Northern Summer with their debut album, “Pathways”, courtesy of Teenage Head Music.

The 5-week tour takes them extensively through Western Europe, starting in Bremen, Germany, on June 13, and includes shows throughout Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Belgium, France and Spain, finishing in Barcelona on July 14. The tour comes as EL COLOSSO prepares to record their second longplayer, the 10-track “Rise of the Colossus”, due for release in late 2018.

EL COLOSSO features the talents of guitarist Benny James, bassist Craig Fryers, drummer Peter Hayden and singer Matt Cooper, who together have built a reputation as a tight and entertaining live act, merging momentous riffs and outrageous hooks into a unique combination of ’70s influenced, but modern-sounding heavy rock.

El Colosso - Pathways

“Pathways” is a beast that immediately gets its claws into you. Recorded at Headgap Studios by Finn Keane, with vocals, additional tracking and mixing by Jez Giddings and Craig Harnath at Hothouse Studios, with mastering by Jack The Bear who said it, “…jumps out of the gate and grabs you by the balls. It’s merciless.”

“Pathways” follows El Colosso’s first release, “Cannonball” which described by Dave ‘Higgo’ Higgins (Triple M, Distortion) as, “…a MASSIVE wall of fuzz riffs basslines and drums that will kick your balls up through your stomach and out the back of your head. POWERFUL!”

“Pathways” was released independently in May 2017 on limited edition red vinyl, CD and digitally. For full catalogue and merchandise range visit: elcolosso.bandcamp.com
