Italian producer Marco Barusso’s The Price releases new video ‘My Escape’

Marco Barusso - The Price

The Italian musician and producer Marco Barusso unveiled the music video for “My Escape”, the second single from his new solo project “THE PRICE

Betrayal, anger and liberation are the keywords for “My Escape”, second chapter for a series of short music films related to the project “THE PRICE” by Marco Barusso and to the upcoming album which deals with human pathological relationships.

In the first single “On the Edge of Madness”, performed by Enrico Ruggeri, the protagonist is hounded by a woman who pushes him to brink of madness- explains Marco Barusso- with “My Escape” we take a step back. The episodes don’t follow a chronological order. This new video is, in fact, a sort of prequel that makes the backstory clear. Featuring the same actors (Antonio De Nitto e Marica Cotognini) and same characters struggling with the end of a relationship.

As in the previous video, Milano is at night and is the setting chosen by Vincenzo Ricchiuto, Francesco Collinelli e Davide Debenedetti (1111 FILM), who directed and produced all the videos for THE PRICE.

In “My Escape” there’s a change of scene and a change of sound and line up, in line with Marco Barusso’s intention to express his disparate musical influences, involving various artists in the project.

In “My Escape” the dark and angsty atmospheres which can be heard in “On the Edge of Madness” give way to a more modern and energetic form of alternative rock; with remnants of American sound and echos of grunge.

Axel Capurro (lead singer of Anewrage) is the gritty voice in this single; he is the youngest member of the project and a permanent member of The Price’s live line up. Together with Amerigo Vitiello (vocals and backing vocals) and Claudio Sannoner (bass).

On drums there’s Emiliano Bassi (Ermal Meta, Laura Pausini, 883) and Marco Barusso completes the lineup on guitar and keyboards. The producer, appears for a short cameo in the video, where he plays in a Club with his friend Kumi Watanabe (singer and musician).
