ALBUM REVIEW: Rag N’ Bone – A Handful Of Ash

Rag N' Bone - A Handful Of Ash

I wasn’t sure what I was in for when I saw the title of the first track ‘Pissy Flow’ and really, I still don’t know what to make of it. I liked it, but I just can’t categorise it.  Maybe that’s the point of this album?

‘Last kind Words’ puts this into perspective, an ecliptic rock song with some moody/ whiny vocals.  As I got further into the album I started getting really into it. I love the female lead singer’s voice and the amazing sounds being produced by the band. I thought I wasn’t going to like this album and fuck me what a surprise, I started loving it! I am amazed with the whining guitar and excellent use of off key picking.

‘Mon Coeur Fait Mal’ sealed the deal for me on this album. A mesmerizing song! You HAVE to give this song a listen, if you listen to nothing else (but of course listen to whole album because, well, it’s fantastic) it is truly a masterful piece of rock music. Oh my god, I can’t even speak…I keep playing this over and over and over. I am absolutely blown away by this track.

This album is amazing. I can’t even put into words how truly masterful this album is. Get on it. You will thank yourself after.

Rag N’ Bone if you’re reading this…Congratulations!  What a fucking awesome piece of work.
