The Rock Pit - Hard rock, Metal and Blues Interviews, news & reviews from Australia and around the world

Nucleust incorporates four passion driven musicians who strive to deliver what can be classified as heavy odd music comprising of unpredictable combinations of metal riffs and motives. Having been inspired by a diverse range of genres from Classical Music to Doom/Goth Metal, from Thrash to Death Metal, and from Jazz to Progressive Rock/Metal, Nucleust creates music, which is a reflection of what is happening in the real world through their own screaming critique, backed by a distinctive sound of extreme 7 & 6 string guitar riffs, massive crunchy bass sounds and groovy heavy drum patterns.

Since starting the band in 2013, Nucleust has gained momentum steadily. With the release of the first track "Whisper", the band had attracted attention from both local and global metal communities. Following the release of their second track "Pandemonium", Nucleust was introduced to the US market through heavy metal radio station, "The Heaviest Matter In The Universe".

The band entered into the local scene on December 10th 2013 with their debut live show and has developed a solid fan base since then. As a result of the trending popularity amongst metal fans, they then attracted the attention of Blunt Magazine to feature "Whisper (Blunt Edition)" on the cover CD of the April 2014 issue. Nucleust then hit the studio to record their debut E.P at Sovereign studios in July 2014 recording a six track release titled "Fractured Equilibrium" which was released on November 8th 2014 through a launch show at the Amplifier Capitol venue in Perth. The EP release tour included several dates around Perth and regional shows in Bunbury. With all shows drawing a solid crowd and receiving positive feedback towards their live performance and the debut EP including a standup reviews from The Rockpit and Heavy Magazine and a radio premiere of the EP by Cooper from KDUR radio in Colorado, the band has gained a lot more confidence in themselves and their ability to create heavy music in their own way!

The band started 2015 playing more successful shows in Perth before heading to Indonesia for a 6 date tour which proved to be very successful and an enlightening experience, followed by the launch of their very first music video for a single track called "Faith By The Sword". 2016 saw the band take things to the next level beginning with a successful supporting show with the legendary Soilwork along with Aversions Crown in February after which the band hit the studio to record their second EP titled "Resistivity" which gained rave reviews from Australian and international media including Heavy Magazine, Beat Magazine, Prog-Sphere and many more as well as solid national radio play including Andrew Haug Radio and RTR FM. This was followed by their first interstate tour in September with shows in Melbourne and Sydney as well as several dates in W.A. and a supporting show opening for Lacuna Coil to round things off.

With immense plans for the future, Nucleust will continue it’s journey of producing inspiring, heavy and thought provoking music…
