The wicked are like a raging sea, and like those that do not rest; Chasing Ghosts have been raging harder than ever and will continue to rouse the oceans in 2017 with the announce of the “I Am” summer tour.

Chasing Ghosts’ have overseen an unrivalled end to 2016, riding a wave of exceptional praise for sophomore album “I Am Jimmy Kyle”, applause from Triple J and Triple J Unearthed, reverence in the halls of local and regional broadcasters and culminating at a stunning #8 on the Australian reader poll, there is no better time to double down and take the music across the country again.

October’s release of “I Am Jimmy Kyle” has been a glorious revelation in song writing, lead tracks Jane Doe and Anthem For Bastards, Liars & Cheats were met with rapturous applause, a glorious symptom from working alongside producer Andrew Newfeld (Comeback Kid) and help from the likes of Milly Tizzard, Doyle Perez (D At Sea) and Marcel Gadicz (Dream On Dreamer).

Joining the foray will be Sydney grunge revivalists The Dead Love, fresh from the carnage of their own tour and exhilarated to cause more alongside Chasing Ghosts in summer 17.

STRIKER formed in Edmonton, Canada in 2007 and they were signed to German label Iron Kodex off the strength of their first demo.
They made two albums with the label and recorded 2nd album Armed To The Teeth with acclaimed producer Michael Wagener (Ozzy, Skid Row, Metallica).
They played shows with Metallica in Canada and hit the road for what eventually became a full world tour with shows across Europe and Japan.
They used their time in Europe to work with Frederik Nordstrom and were snapped up by Napalm Records in 2012 for the release of the acclaimed album City Of Gold.
Stand In The Fire is STRIKER's most uncompromising record to date. A record packed with incredible riffs and colossal anthems, all laced together with epic harmonies.
Inspired by legendary bands like Iron Maiden, Striker wear their hearts firmly on their battle jackets, soaking up the power and influence of classic rock and metal.
The band; Dan Clearly (vocals) Tim Brown (lead/rhythm guitars) William Wallace (bass) Adam Brown (drums) recorded the album themselves with the help of Randy Black (who filled in on drums while Adam was away…) and mixing genius Frederik Nordstrom (Bring Me The Horizon, In Flames, Opeth) giving them not only the time and space needed but the freedom to set up the release direct to fans worldwide.

The rebirth of Eric Gales
· Andrew Schizodeluxe on December 21 2016 22:10:47

You want the blues?

“Unfortunately you have to go through some things to be free”, says Memphis born Eric Gales. “Now, I feel the most free I’ve ever been in life, even more so than when I was a kid”, he opens up. “You gotta help yourself man, once you can help yourself you can genuinely help someone else.”

The title of Gales’ album Middle of the Road is the running theme throughout the record. “It’s about being fully focused and centred in the middle of the road. If you’re on the wrong side and in the gravel you’re not too good and if you’re on the median strip that’s not too good either, so being in the middle of the road is the best place to be.”

This is where Middle of the Road finds the rebirth of Eric Gales.  A new album that  sees him more free than he’s ever been and where the biographic songs take you on an intimate journey with him. Along the way he brings in not only a host of guest and collaborators, but also those closest to him; Lauryn Hill, Gary Clark Jr, Eugene Gales, LaDonna Gales, Lance Lopez, Raphael Saadiq and Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram.

Middle of the Road is Eric Gales fourth album on Provogue/Mascot label Group and sees him at his most expressive and creative yet.  It is a deeply personal and reflective record that echoes where Eric is in his life right now, allowing him to open himself up and to really flourish.

Ocean Grove Announce Debut Album The Rhapsody Tapes + Drop New Single "Intimate Alien"
· Andrew Schizodeluxe on December 21 2016 22:06:41
All things considered, there’s one thing that we can all agree on: it’s time for something new. Enter Ocean Grove's debut album, The Rhapsody Tapes, set for release on February 3rd via UNFD. The latest drop from the Odd World is their brand new single "Intimate Alien" in which Ocean Grove ask: "What am I? Another break in the program? A transcendent visual?"  Whatever you are, take your ice cold stare and watch the video below.

Click below to watch the video for "Intimate Alien".
Welcome to the Odd World, where things happen.

Odd World Music, in the shape of Ocean Grove’s debut album The Rhapsody Tapes, is a proudly invented genre that describes what happens when frontman Luke Holmes, guitarists Jimmy Hall and Matt Henley, bassist Dale Tanner, drummer / producer genius Sam Bassal and studio member Running Touch put their heads and hearts together.

The Odd World is a space where what is real and what is perceived to be real blend together, a creation of six united misfits to explain the experience of being Ocean Grove.

The Rhapsody Tapes explores a fascination with a warped perception of reality,” says Luke. “It tells parallel stories that come in waves… and parts of the album are written from the view of a child standing on the edge, looking out into a hyperreality in search of something.”
The Rhapsody Tapes was written and produced entirely by the band in Sam’s bedroom, allowing Ocean Grove endless creative freedom. The album breathed itself out over a series of months and shows that dumping tens of thousands of dollars on expensive producers and studios is less effective than, well, having a preternaturally talented guy (who was just 19 at the time) in the band who can do everything.

Both a self-contained statement on and expression of what’s inside their heads, The Rhapsody Tapes – sonically and visually – was constructed in minute detail by the Ocean Grove collective, with no outside interference whatsoever. Every inch of the artwork, every note of music. Because that’s how the Odd World grows: in the shadows, bravely.

“Although some of the themes we discuss are commonly touched upon by many artists, we hope to present our art in a way that is incongruous with most, and that is the theme that binds all these songs and topics together – Odd World,” explains Dale. “We explore the nuances that come with that freedom and obscurity.”

let us come to a secret misunderstanding

There was no moment of conception for Ocean Grove; at one point they didn’t exist and then all of a sudden they did. With friendships within the band stretching back a decade-plus, they coagulated around shared ideas of art and performance and life. They grew together and treated every morsel of life as more fuel for their fire, expressed on two EPs, first 2013’s Outsider and then 2015’s Black Label, the latter re-released in 2016 as the Sublime Edition with the addition of breakout anthem "Lights On Kind Of Lover".

Hyperreality awaits.

The Rhapsody Tapes is available for pre-order via 24Hundred and iTunes.
