GearGods Premiere: ALL ELSE FAILS Video 'The Sons of Plenty' + India Festival Dates
· Andrew Schizodeluxe on January 12 2017 21:43:56
Coming out of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, ALL ELSE FAILS is making a mark around the world for their aggressively dark brand of metal that is breaking the traditional ideals of their genre. Drawing comparisons to bands like As I Lay Dying, the band infuses their music with a variety of elements that includes experimental, classical, synth lines, and spoken word sampling to accent a unique blend of heavy as hell screams and shiver inducing clean vocals.

A high energy live show that sets them apart from their peers has garnered them appearances on numerous high level festivals over the years, including Van’s Warped tour, Boonstock and opening spots for artists like Protest the Hero, Cancer Bats, Dayglo Abortions, 3 Inches of Blood, Fear Factory, Threat Signal, Decapitated, Suffocation, and Arise & Ruin.

The band’s award winning 2013 EP 'Fucktropolis' received world wide praise from industry publications around the world for its heavy dark beauty.

Gearing up for their follow up 'The Forever Lie' due out February 17, 2017, the band is proud to exclusively premiere their first single and new video 'The Sons of Plenty' via GearGods.

"I've been waiting my entire musical career to light my guitar on fire and smash a drumset to pieces with it. This video is fucking awesome." comments vocalist/guitarist Barrett Klesko.

Boris The Blade drop 'Paralysed' single & video from upcoming 'Warpath' LP
· Andrew Schizodeluxe on January 12 2017 21:40:10

Melbourne Metal Mainstays BORIS THE BLADE are poised to release their new opus 'WARPATH'. Their second Full-Length album will be released on January 27th worldwide through heavy record label Siege Records.

Announced late in 2016 for release January 27, Warpath has already seen a couple of singles - eponymously titled 'Warpath' and 'Misery' featuring CJ McMahon, released online. Now, third cut from the record - 'Paralysed' - sees the light of day via lyric video!

Early opinions on the record have all been nothing but positive, with Metal Hammer saying that "...they'd give Thy Art is Murder a Good Spanking", Metal Wani giving it 4/5 stars and Metal Obsession saying that Warpath "...destroys all in its path, leaving nothing but smoking carnage in its wake."

Boris the Blade has seen some personnel changes in recent times and are now stronger than ever, with the lineup taking the form of Daniel Sharp on Vocals, Josh Lording and Cameron Eyre on Guitar, Coby Chatz on Bass and Karl Steller on Drums. 'Warpath' features guest vocals from artists such as CJ McMahon (Thy Art is Murder) on 'Misery', Scott Lewis (Carnifex) on 'Omens' and Tim Goergen (Within The Ruins) on 'Elixir'.

The 'Warpath' LP has been put together carefully and purposely, with the band hand-picking the people they wanted to work with to craft the brutal collection of tracks - and they had a hand in the production of the record themselves alongside Richie Newman and Mark Harris.

The Vocals were recorded, engineered and mixed with Richie Newman and Mark Harris at Juggernaut Music, Guitars and Bass were recorded, engineered and mixed at Half Moon Productions with Jamie Marinos and Lance Prenc and Drums were recorded, engineered and edited by Roman Koester at Complex Studios. The Overall sound was then mixed and mastered to metal-edged precision by Lance Prenc.

Warpath is Boris the Blade's sophomore record, a follow-up to 2014's 'The Human Hive' and 2011's EP, 'Tides of Damnation.' It will be available worldwide on Friday January 27th - pre-orders available now at

Primal Attack Premiere Music Video For “Halfborn"
· Andrew Schizodeluxe on January 12 2017 21:35:46

Portuguese thrash metal quintet PRIMAL ATTACK has premiered a music video for the song “Halfborn”, taken from the band’s second full-length album, “Heartless Oppressor”, due out on February 10th via Rastilho Records. The video was directed by Miguel Miranda and has recently premiered via PureGrainAudio, watch it now at this location.

Recently, Primal Attack also shared a lyric video for the album’s first single “The Prodigal One”, check it out here.

Produced, mixed and mastered by guitarist/backing vocalist Miguel Tereso, the new album not only picks up right where its predecessor left off, but also surpasses expectations showcasing a much stronger, tighter and more dynamic unit. “Heartless Oppressor” also sees the Lisbon-based group expanding their musical palette, incorporating new influences from prog, industrial and even rock without ever compromising the pummelling metallic heaviness of their thrash-metal roots.

SLAYER to release comic book "Repentless #1"
· Andrew Schizodeluxe on January 12 2017 21:33:29

SLAYER, the most badass thrash/metal band on the planet, will see issue #1 of its three-comic book series "Repentless" released on January 25 through Dark Horse Comics.

The comic book series is based on SLAYER's brutal 'Repentless' music videos, written and directed by B.J. McDonnell (Hatchet III) and scripted by director/producer Jon Schnepp (Metalocalypse, The Venture Bros., The Death of Superman Lives). "Twilight Zone" artist Guiu Vilanova created the inside artwork, while Eisner Award-winning British comics artist Glenn Fabry drew Issue #1's cover, and Eric Powell (The Goon, Hillbilly) created the variant cover.

Said SLAYER's Tom Araya about 'Repentless,' "We're telling the story that we've always told about society and how humans treat each other."

You can pre-order the comics in our Nuclear Blast store:

For more than three decades, SLAYER's onslaught has proven the band to be the supreme thrash-metal band on the planet, the band that other heavy acts are measured against and aspire to. Their membership in "The Big Four" - METALLICA, SLAYER, MEGADETH and ANTHRAX - the four bands that defined the thrash/metal genre - secures their place in music history.  The two-time Grammy-winners have also accumulated an abundance of certified Gold Albums along with "Best..." awards from media outlets all over the world, including Kerrang!, SPIN, Metal Hammer, Revolver, and Esquire. Throughout SLAYER's history, the band has never faltered in unleashing its extreme and focused sonic assault, and, unlike many of its contemporaries who "commercialized" their sound, SLAYER has remained crushing and brutal, steadfastly refusing to cater to the mainstream.  SLAYER's founding member, guitarist Jeff Hanneman passed in 2013, and EXODUS guitarist Gary Holt has been filling in for him since.  Paul Bostaph, who was SLAYER's drummer from '94 - '01, has rejoined bassist/vocalist Tom Araya and guitarist Kerry King, and is back behind the kit.

In September 2015, SLAYER released »Repentless«, the band's 12th studio album, the first without Hanneman and first with producer Terry Date, to widespread rave reviews and the highest chart debut of the band's career.  The band also teamed up with director BJ McDonnell for three high-concept and brutal music videos for the album's 'Repentless',  then for 'You Against You,' and the most recent, 'Pride in Prejudice'.

EPICA launch 'Beyond The Matrix' music video
· Andrew Schizodeluxe on January 12 2017 21:27:36

Dutch symphonic metal band EPICA have launched the new music video for 'Beyond The Matrix' taken from the band’s latest album »The Holographic Principle«.

Frontwoman Simone Simons comments: “The energy that lives within 'Beyond the Matrix' is extremely contagious. It will sweep you off your feet when the melodies enter your mind. The video embodies the spirit and liveliness of EPICA. Transcend together with us and shine past the sky”

EPICA’s guitar player Mark Jansen continues “Beyond the Matrix is one of my favorite tracks to play live from our new album, as it makes the crowd go wild, so I'm happy we are releasing a video of it. We have managed to catch the energy of the song and translate it into images (& words). The song is dealing about us humans, being caught in a matrix (an illusion) because of our excessive thinking. We have lost control over our lives and accept the illusion as 'the one reality'. But if we manage to free ourselves from those shackles and become masters of our thoughts again, we can make a huge step forward in collective consciousness and will be able to look beyond the borders of our matrix. Fasten your seatbelts and enjoy the ride!!!”

The video can be viewed here:

The video is produced by Jens de Vos and his team at Panda Productions.

After finishing a successful North American tour last month, EPICA will kick off their massive European tour with POWERWOLF and BEYOND THE BLACK this week!
