About Yoga Rocks The Park:
Yoga Rocks The Park
is Open Sky Event’s landmark summer series. It began in Denver in 2008 as a small grassroots gathering offering the city’s thriving yoga community an opportunity to do their practice beneath Colorado’s famously clear summer skies and to a soundtrack of live music. Today, Yoga Rocks the Park has become Colorado’s most popular weekly summer wellness festival, and has spread into Boulder, CO, Phoenix, AZ, Omaha, NE, Cleveland OH, Milwaukee, WI and growing. Each weekly session meets in a unique outdoor location and showcases top-tier local and nationally known yoga instructors backed by a unique, invigorating soundtrack of heart-wise artists who ease one into their practice with downtempo soundscapes, sympathetic percussion and empathetic strings. The whole experience, down to the organic food & drink and services offered (massage, acupuncture, sustainability minded goods), is designed to promote healthy. harmony and create a positive, enriching environment for all-ages.

Many markets offer a “Camp Yoga Rocks” kids program, one of many event features designed to create experiences that nurture spirit, build community, and increase opportunities for each city's younger yogis to join in the fun while mom and dad practice in the adult session. Yoga Rocks The Park blends elements from multiple yoga schools (Hatha, Vinyasa, Anusara, Jivamukti, acro-yoga & more), further opening the door for potential participants to experience yoga in the beaming sun with their feet in the grass and trees rustling overhead.

Yoga Rocks The Park’s commitment to community goes well beyond a vague sentiment, too, with 50% of net profits going to a local or national charity each week. Participants can even nominate their favorite non-profits through the event’s official website.
