STEADLUR

EVERYTHING IS NOTHING

2009 may well be remembered as the year that sleaze-glam-rock came into it's own. It's an update of the late eighties hair-metal glory days, with considderably more tattoos, a shovel full of snotty punk attitude, and an almost indie sensibility.

Steadlur are another hard rocking proponent of the sleaze-glam ethos, but with a touch more of the nu-punk about them than most.

They write songs that sneer and spit like early (real!) Guns n' Roses or Crue, with six extra bucketloads of melody and catchy choruses.

'My Mom Hates Me' is a perfect example and would be equally at home on a Blink 182, Ugly Kid Joe or Motley Crue record.

It's this genre-spanning ability which should help get Steadlur known on a wider scale. "Everything Is Nothing" is a great little album and if they get some decent exposure and a little luck, this band could really break out.
