Hardcore Superstar - Beg For It

Lucky Sevens for Swedish riff-merchants

There must be something in the Swedish water as they have thrown forth a swag of hard sleazy rockers in recent years including Backyard Babies, Hellacopters, Bai Bang, Babylon Bombs, Vains Of Jenna and Gothenburg's Hardcore Superstar.

Beg For It is HSís seventh full length release and finds them moving further from their original mission statement of combining thrash and sleaze metal, with more hooks on offer than a butcherís freezer.† This is never more evident than on Into Debauchery, Shades Of Grey & Spit It Out, which will burrow into your brain and refuse to leave.

Album opener is an acoustic instrumental dedicated to movie soundtrack king Ennio Morricone, and from then on every song kicks arse.† Lyrically they Hope For A Normal Life, suffer a Nervous Breakdown, Donít Care Bout Your Bad Behaviour and lament not being an Innocent Boy Ė all with lashings of sleazy riffs, pounding drums and bass, and a voice dripping with sneers.

Solid and sleaze-laden, this album solidifies Hardcore Superstarís reputation as one of the foremost Scandinavian riff-merchants today.
