Legacy were a Christian Metal band from Columbus Ohio that fell through the cracks back in the late ’80s, this was when metal was at a heyday and Christian metal, was considered something of an oddity. Eonian records released their self titled debut album which is now left heavily influenced by well-known bands like Dokken, Scorpions and Stryper. Musically this album is a little gem and encourages some great tracks to sink your teeth into. Doug Meacham’s vocals are ‘ok’ but the twin guitars are excellent.
Tracks to check out include:
Cross the Line - solid sound great solo.
Forever In Your Arms - great harmonies.
Change of a Broken Heart - I think this is one of the best track’s on the album, great feel to it, good song and again great harmonies.
Comin’ along - superb opening just rolls along with good solo and rhythm.
What a World – strong song, this one sounds very Dokken inspired.
Vision of Perfection - a fine song to close the cd with, the duel guitars work really well.
All in all if you can get by the religious lyrics on all the tracks, it’s a wicked album to listen to.
A raised glass to Eonian records for giving the CD a much deserved release!
