There’s a freshness and a fury to Sydney’s Alternative Metal band Breaking Point on their latest EP ’Separated’  which at 5 tracks long is a decent representation of the band at this point of creative freedom, featuring some huge riffs, soaring melodies and crunching breakdowns.

If you like your Metal to sound huge and bleed melody while bludgeoning you about the ears then this is for you, sure it’s new, it’s fresh but it’s built on the staples that Metal has always thrived on – great players, great songs, killer guitars and a memorable voice.

Check out opener and title track ‘Separated’; or the spikier ‘Four Walls’; if not maybe the double-kicks of the altogether heavier ‘Decay’ is more your thing? For us it’s the huge vison (no pun intended) and catchy chorus of ‘Visions’ that seals the deal and makes us want more.
