Modern, bright and fresh rock with a glimpse of early eighties UK Indie rock in the vocals give Trieste’s Afterglow an interesting sound; and when you marry that with some great songs they are certainly worth a listen.

What you will be rewarded with is an interesting mix of rockers like ‘Tell Me’ and ballads like ‘Fallen’ and the lilting ‘Misread’ but in-between you get all shades of rock from the distinctly modern sound of ‘Nettle’ to the spiky deconstructed rock of tracks like ‘Go Fuck Yourself’.

It’s hard to pigeon-hole these guys but there’s a definite Creed/Live quality at times channeled via Alt-Rock eyes. If that’s your kind of thing then ‘Quicksands’ will probably be the defining moment and certainly a direction I’d love to hear more of from the guys.
