ROCK ON THE RANGE
JUDAS PRIEST

Columbus, Ohio - USA
May 16th 2015

Metal gods, Judas Priest headlined the ninth annual Rock on the Range festival on Saturday night for their first performance at ROTR. Such an incredible performance by an iconic metal band that has set very high standards for anyone trying to stand out in the metal genre. Nobody has ever come close to Judas Priest, in my opinion anyway. Fans of all ages were standing in awe of their performance. The energy was beyond electric, pulsating through the stadium as Judas Priest hit the stage.

It's hard to believe that Halford and the rest of the band have been hitting the road since they first formed back in 1969, with the exception of a few line up changes. JP are known for being metal pioneers with the introduction of twin guitars combined with Halfords' melodic, operatic and sometimes haunting vocals. At the ripe age of 63 Halford's voice is still in top form. Halford still has the ability to scream at primal levels with incredible strength and passion throughout every performance as if he still has something to prove. His vocals are electrifying, and almost inconceivable. Many vocalists have tried to copy Halfords style, only to have failed miserably.

The entire band gave it their all at Rock on The Range. Richie Faulkner, the newest Priest member was constantly interacting with the crowd, provoking response. As well as hammering out some serious riffs on his guitar as if it were an extension of his body. We had a chance to catch up with Richie Faulkner from Judas Priest on the phone a couple of weeks before Rock on The Range. If you haven't already, be sure to check out our interview here.

The Redeemer of Souls tour is happening now. This is one band you need to see at least once in your lifetime. Get your tickets while they are still available at here.
