XANDRIA SACRIFICIUM REVIEW 2014

XANDRIA - SACRIFICIUM

NAPALM RECORDS

MAY 2 2014

Hot on the heels of critically acclaimed last outing "Neverworld’s End" and a hefty touring schedule female-fronted Symphonic Mettalers Xandria finally follows up with new album "Sacrificium". This is hyperactive Symphonic Metal brimming with fire and passion.

If you love your Metal over the top and your production crisp and clear then the sound on Xandria’s new one is stunning. And with songs of the calibre of the frantic opener ‘Dreamkeeper’ and the epic title track ‘Sacrificium’ it’s clear that this is a band that is here to stay and has plenty to say.

Dig a little deeper and there are plenty of other gems: from the almost perfect ‘Stardust’ that has everything packed into one song that is still so exciting and essential about the genre; through the folkier Metal of songs like ‘Temple of Hate’ to the absolute pinnacle and crowning gem of the album: ‘The Undiscovered Land’ which will blow your mind!

This is all that is good about Smphonic Metal.
