THE DATE GHOST NOTES REVIEW 2014

THE DATE - GHOST NOTES

SELF RELEASED

NOVEMBER 2014

The Date must be one of Perth’s hardest working bands; releasing material like the end of the world is imminent and how much music you have to your name when it comes dictates your arsenal…

‘Ghost Notes’ is the latest single from The Date’s forthcoming album ‘Master Date’ and is both immediate and unsettling – the band seems to have a knack for taking a Blues-Rock base and bolting to it lyrics that have a degree of apocalyptical content. When you couple that with the solid drums of Thomas, the guitar-hero meanderings of Susanto and the quirky vocals of Moran you have a band that always interests and always delivers.

‘Ghost Notes’ pushes the date back firmly into that indefinable area of Rock that defies real labelling and it’s just where we like them. Some bands were born to follow and others like The Date were made to cut their own path.
