SEVEN 7 REVIEW 2014

SEVEN - 7

Some albums you flick on and they immediately take you back to certain point in time. The keys on Seven’s ‘Shoot To Kill’ could only be eighties-born, and indeed this Bournemouth UK-based band were a Polydor signing of that era who put out two singles before being dropped.

This album takes those singles and demos of the period and rerecords them, swapping tracks across two continents in the process to finally put that album out. In truth the two singles ‘Inside Love’ and ‘Man With a Vision’ are the best tracks here, but what will surprise you is the quality of a band who ‘got away’.

Classy AOR for aficionados and packed with strong material. It would be a shame if this was the last we heard of Seven.
