ROCK ON THE RANGE: Day Three - Sunday, May 18, 2014

Kid Rock was the headliner for the final night of ROTR 2014. Kid Rock is an entertainer is every sense of the word. He has amassed a sizeable following throughout his years as an artist is multiple-genres. The Detroit native puts out a wholehearted performance every time he steps out on the stage.

Five Finger Death Punch: These guys always get the crowd in an uproar. Their 40 min set was way too short! Ivan is constantly encouraging fans to have as much fun as possible, but to take care of each other at the same time. Ivan stopped in the middle of a song to give someone hell for trying to take clothes off of female crowd surfers. In the words of Ivan Moody; “If I see another guy try to rip the shirt off of another woman, I will personally come down there and kick your ass”!  That’s just one more reason to love and respect these guys.

Jason Bonham’s Led Zepplin Experience brought us all back to the early 70’s. The band was amazing to say the least. With songs like, “Black Dog”, “Babe I’m gonna leave you”, and “lemon song” it was easy to feel as if one had been brought back in time. Jason took a moment to tell the fans how thankful he was for the support of him and his father alike. This was by far one of the biggest highlights of the weekend for many fans.

The Australian trio Wolfmother brought us back to our Woodstock days with their music and their attire. Their music reminded me of the early Sabbath days. I look forward to hearing more from them.

Trivium: Luckily for the fans at ROTR Matt Heafy was able to perform. The band has had to cancel several tour dates due to vocal issues that Matt has been dealing with. As if it was business as usual, the guys did not skip at beat during their performance, always putting in 100%.

Another huge fan favorite at ROTR is Gemini Syndrome. They played on the Jager stage last year for their debut performance at Rock on the Range and were upgraded to the second stage for this year’s time slot. This is a band that has accumulated a vast fan base in just a couple of years. They are tremendously charismatic and have a very strong connection with their fans during their performance. This is one band you do not want to miss.
