REBELLIOUS SPIRIT OBSESSION REVIEW 2014

REBELIOUS SPIRIT - OBSESSION

STEAMHAMMER /SPV

SEPTEMBER 22 2014

Germany’s Rebellious Spirit second album ‘Obsession’ is just what you need if you love spirited Hard Rock played with feeling and passion. For a young band Rebellious Spirit certainly know what it takes to get the fists in the air…

From opener and title track to ‘Breakout’ which closes tis collection there is a swagger and an attitude on display which just adds to the quality of the songs. If you crave big choruses, looming large guitars, commanding drums and heaps of attitude then this is highly recommended. Try ‘Lost’ (the first single) and ‘Look What I’ve Become’ for a taste of modern hard rock that has a touch of both the eighties Hard Rock and an Alternative twist that comes mainly from Jannik Fischer’s unique but equally solid vocals.

Amongst our favourites are the uplifting and sooo catchy ‘Summer Moved On’ and the straight ahead Hard Rock of ‘Silent Scream’ as well as the slower but equally cool ‘Walls of Lies’.

If you like your Hard Rock with a twist and plenty of vigour this is one to pick up.
