Hailing from Philadelphia Power Trio ‘On Top’ bring some good honest muscular Metal to the table. It’s nothing of course you haven’t heard before but t does have a certain swing and swagger to it that sets it apart from the pack. Opening track ‘No Shame’ has a traditional Metal sound with an almost rap-chanted vocal made for playing live.

‘Cold and Blue’ has a bit more of an edge to it for us, with a more insistent riff. The vocal delivery is pretty much the same though a semi-rapped flurry of lines that give an urgency to the songs but may for some be a little grating. Still it’s our favourite at least, and adds some nice gang backing vocals, and even a nice airy guitar breakdown.

The other two tracks here ‘Don’t Go’ and ‘Bad Love’ add more of the same really, they’re nice songs and I love the guitar on ‘Don’t Go’ but to be honest I’d love to hear more before I make my mind up on these guys.

Track List:
1.      No Shame
2.      Cold and Blue
3.      Don’t Go
4.      Bad Love
