GAME OVER - BURST INTO THE QUIET

If you love your Thrash then ‘Game Over’ is a name that might be new, but if so should be creeping up on you very soon. New album ‘Burst Into The Quiet’, which comes relatively hot on the heels of the critically acclaimed debut ‘For Humanity’ from 2012 takes the old school Bay Area thrash template and mixes it up with more modern takes on the genre. It makes an interesting mix.

These Italians sure know how to rock though and there are some really cool and quite innovative riffs and progressions on here which set them apart from the masses. Add to that some nice touches and great production and you have a fine album. There may not be any one track that stands out more than any others here and for once I’m not sure if that’s necessarily bad or good. It would be nice to point to a classic and say listen to this, but on the other hand the consistency probably outweighs that – try ‘No More’ and see what you think, that’s probably the track that gets biggest rotation in the office here!

At only nine tracks long things might run a little short but this should be right up there as a contender for our Metal album of the year this year – it’s that good.
