DAVE EVANS NOTHING TO PROVE EP REVIEW 2014

DAVE EVANS - NOTHING TO PROVE (EP)

ROCKSECTOR RECORDS

MARCH 3 2014

AC/DC’s original vocalist is back with a new EP that comes on the verge of the 40th anniversary of the very first AC/DC show.

Opening with "Put Up or Shut Up" (check out the lyric video on YouTube) the EP is the result of a collaboration with co-writer Chris Appleton (Absolva/Fury UK/Blaze Bayley) who also contributes guitar. In truth it’s not bad at all: "I Believe" and "Reach For The Sky" round out the EP as far as originals go and there’s a great cover of the classic "Baby Please Don't Go" which has always been a staple in Dave's live show.

If you love a stripped-back traditional hard rock sound with traces (of course) of AC/DC and Aussie pub-rock and a huge 70’s vibe this as we said hits the spot nicely. If you still want to make sure then check out the lyric video for "Put Up or Shut Up".

The EP is released worldwide through Rocksector Records on 3rd March and a limited edition fanpack is available to pre-order now at http://www.rocksector.com .
