THE FINAL REVOLUTION

2013

BACK TO THE (PERFECT) GRIND

Aggressive vocals and double-kick drums herald the opening track ‘Deathwish’ before wailing guitar cuts in to meld Metal to Metal. Pro-Pain is Hardcore you can love even if that isn’t normally your staple fare. There’s something so honest and uncompromising about this album at times it feels like real punk and certainly the raw production enhances that feeling.

For those familiar with the band who have been with us since the nineties it’s as good as you would expect from the guys that gave us ‘Foul Taste of Freedom’ and gets away somewhat from their last offering ‘Straight to the Dome’ which had more thrash and less punk.

With an eye on current affairs the title track is spellbinding, but its tracks like ‘Southbound’ that elevate this to those exalted heights of Pro-Pain’s classic past. And whereas some bands look backwards and only end up watering down their legacy Pro-Pain should please old fans and win new with this offering.
