LET IT WASH OVER YOU BABY

Wreaths are one of those bands that just seem to exist to make music. Starting out in Asbury Park NJ in 2011 they have a lot of shows under their belt and a sound that you have to hear. The unkind might call it ‘mood music’ but on their latest EP Wreaths manage to capture on tape the essence of their live show with all its hypnotic, stoned, psychedelic soundscapes and other-worldly emissions.

This won’t be an album for everyone but if you love music that can take you places then Wreaths do just that on this 10” vinyl EP (with free digital download).  Check out our favourites “I Love me, Dark Wizard” which may lead to dark dreams and a trance-like state and “Teach The Devil To Sing” and tell me you don’t need some.

If “Stonedpsychedelicindiehyponticfuzz” was a genre these guys with their Velvets meet early Floyd deftly deconstructed dream punk noise would be top of the tree. I like it.
