ROYAL HUNT

A LIFE TO DIE FOR

2013

NO ONE QUITE LIKE THEM...

There’s plenty of bands out there like Royal Hunt but no one quite like Royal Hunt and if you’ve followed them over the years you’ll probably know what I’m getting at. 12 albums in “A Life to Die For” is the second outing from the line-that saw the return of vocalist DC Cooper who added his voice to Royal Hunt’s two classics: “Moving Target” and “Paradox” which made their name at the end of the 90’s.

Augmented by orchestral players and a kick-ass choir “A Life to Die For” is an album which sees a great band in full flight and will see lovers of Progressive Melodic Metal nodding approvingly. With the addition of a bonus DVD shot during the band’s last tour and some revealing interviews it’s a package worthy of adding to your collection.

Top of our tree is ‘Won’t Trust, Won’t Fear, Won’t Beg’ (with that choir and that guitar break) in all its slow burning glory; but be sure to check out tracks like the sing-along melodic rocker ‘Running out of Tears’ or the almost Power Metal of ‘One Minute Left to Live’ and the only thing that will go through your mind is why only seven songs!
