FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH

THE WRONG SIDE OF HEAVEN THE RIGHTEOUS SIDE OF HELL VOL II

2013

BACK FOR MORE

If you loved the first installment out in June then you will love this new collection of songs from the Vegas Metal Masters. And whilst the first volume featured a number of interesting collaborations this time it’s a simpler affair.

Single ‘Battle Born’ will already be familiar as the lead single and it’s certainly representative of the album as a whole. One of the best here though is a cover – a rather fine version of The Animals take on ‘House of the Rising Sun’.

If you love FFDP then you won’t be disappointed, and while few bands since Guns ‘N’ Roses have pulled off such a feat of releasing two killer albums in a year (Gunners of course released simultaneously) the quality here doesn’t suffer as much as the Use Your Illusion I and II did. As there’s startlingly little you could call filler.

Our picks aside from those mentioned above have to be the more than satisfying crunch of opener ‘Here to Die’; ‘Cradle to the Grave’ and ‘Let This Go’.
