CD LOVE CREAM SPEND THE NIGHT TOGETHER REVIEW

LOVE CREAM

SPEND THE NIGHT TOGETHER (SINGLE)

2013

GREAT NEW HARD ROCK FROM ADELAIDE

From the streets of dark and dirty Adelaide comes a Rock ‘N’ Roll monster called ‘Love Cream’. Taking the best of eighties rock as a template you can hear all kinds of other influences - everything from the sleaze of early  Gunners to the sway of The Stones (there are also elements of the good time glam of bands like Poison but without the cheese and certainly more refined, or at least more up to date). It’s all held together with a big Hair Metal - Stadium Rock chorus.  For sheer catchiness ‘Spend the Night Together’ is one of the best singles we’ve heard this year.

Backed with the glammier ‘Back Door Lover’ that takes eighties Kiss as a jumping off point and ends up sounding a lot like current Swedish upstarts like Reckless Love (but better);  and  ‘Love Train’ which is a straightforward Rocker that adds backbone before a sweet melodic chorus: I’m impressed and you’re onto a winner… I immediately want to hear more.
