THE NEXT NEW OLD THING

With beards that speak a thousand words as you can imagine Kadavar aren’t going to be saying anything new, but the great thing about bands like this is that they remind us about some of the important things we’re losing track of about music. Now that of course is only part of the story. It’s all well and good to sound like you crawled out of the early seventies but there’s still that nagging question-  are you adding anything to the story?

Kadavar is thankfully gloriously unadorned retro rock and roll but in the best of ways – there’s a real sense of love and reverence here.

This is a new and refreshing album for anyone who loves the riff-driven chaos of Sabbath or the deft touch of early Hawkwind.  Try opener ‘Come Back Life’ or the bombastic ‘Eye of the Storm’ and you’ll hear a clarity and a purity to the sound that so many try to hide in fuzz.

Check out the single ‘Doomsday Machine’ – you’ll fall deep…
