Hot on the heels of their late 2011 taster EP comes Zeroking’s debut full length album, and it’s up there with Van Halen’s newie as the best releases of the year to date.

With clever lyrics, a hard rocking foundation, great performances across the board, and great flair in song arrangements, “Kings Of Self Destruction” fairly bristles with energy, sass and power from opener ‘Dead Rock Star’ through to the bonus tracks, leaving the listener breathless and exhausted.

More hard rock with a pinch of sleaze straight from the L.A. underbelly than metal, Zeroking have the potential to be all over rock radio with anything from this album – and for the next few days you can listen to the whole album for free at this link.

Littered with standout tracks, special mention should be made of ‘Dead Rock Star’ with it’s cheeky “there’s no sex in the champagne room unless you’re there with me” refrain, ‘Love Is Dead’, a shining, bittersweet duet with Stacee Lawson which is pure class, and the brilliant ‘Girls Of California’ – another sleazy classic.

Have a listen to “Kings Of Self Destruction” for free, buy it, and expect to see it rate highly in our end of 2012 Roundup!
