A little bit of trash from New Zealand anyone?

Those already with an ear to the NZ Metal scene will probably be familiar with the name already: and if the first few listens of this new release are anything to go by, then coupled with a couple of lengthy US tours already underway; the name might just be a lot more familiar pretty soon.

From a musical point of view what you get here is brutal trash metal in the traditional trash mould and while that may not be groundbreaking it is comforting. The great news is that it is very well done indeed.
Musically LOD are tight and there are some interesting lyrical themes and ideas underpinning the album. Opener ‘Thorns’ is bound to set the curious at ease it’s a powerful song to put first up but if I’m honest this one just gets better.

If you love some of the biggest names in Thrash (especially Metallica and Slayer the most obvious sonic influences) then check these guys out. March to Death’ is probably my favourite hear taking as its subject matter the brutality of Nazi ideology. The single ‘Break’ too, is particularly strong and rounding out the pick of the bunch for me at least are ‘Impaler’ (yes that Impaler) and ‘Treading the Tainted Path’ which smacks of quality and promise.

If you haven’t heard the name, and love the heavier stuff check out Legacy of Disorder now!
