Hellyeah

Band of Brothers

2012

I sort of didn't particularly like Pantera... Sorry if I lose my job over that comment but it's out there now. Hellyeah however, well maybe it's the BBQ but they're much more my thing. And this? Well it just could be their best yet.

Like a good briskett all Helyeah needed was time and three albums in they've served up their tastiest treat so far...

Yep the tone, the heaviness is all here, it’s just better than what has come before, and really if you want to be harsh/realistic it’s really as close to a Pantera tribute as Hellyeah! Is going to get, where it slightly falls down of course is the vocals, comparatively of course.

The title track ‘Band Of Brothers’, and drinking anthem ‘Drink Drank Drunk’ probably take the cake. But songs like "Between You And Nowhere" and "Dig Myself A Hole" however are also top notch.

The rest however does get a bit repetitive at times and lyrically we really haven’t progressed since day one. The second half of the album does let it down slightly, but saying that it’s still my favourite Hellyeah yet.

One for the fans and unlikely to win any new fans with the exception of a few Pantera fans who may now be getting down off that fence.
