Here’s a band for you that should soon be finding a bigger audience if they can keep up the level of quality found here on their four-track EP and just push just a little more to crystallize a definitive sound. If you are looking for immediate sonic comparisons then I know I’m not the only one in thinking that they owe more than a little to California’s Saosin with a sound that marries post-hardcore with alt-rock touches.

There’s a lot to like on this EP, though in only four tracks it’s always hard to tell if it can be sustained. Opener and first single ‘Four Words’ really captures the twin guitar melodies the band seem to be taking as a calling card and it’s a song with a lot of appeal.

One thing ‘Tale’ clearly has is potential in spades tough, and you can hear for yourself that the band is still learning and defining it’s sound: ‘Fire Burning Through Our Wings’ probably being the case in point where you feel the song is still somewhat unresolved.

‘Four Words’ and ‘Machine’ are the clear standouts and point to no shortage of firepower. This is a band to keep an eye on. It’s a great stride forward from their debut EP from a couple of years ago ‘Have Heart’.
