The former Bangle delivers an album full of bright & breezy folky pop with a jazzy edge, tailor made for video clips of pretty girls in Sixties dresses bicycling and dancing in sun-drenched fields of flowers, or montages in bright & breezy Hollywood rom-coms.

It’s not as vacuous as it might seem though – tracks such as November Sun, Picture Me, All I Need and Raining are well written and catchy, and crucially never allowed to descend into bland elevator music territory, much less outstay their welcome.

Musically, no-one is here to deliver virtuoso solos, merely to present the singer with the best vehicle for her beautiful voice, and in this way “Someday” is very Sixties in feel.

So, a very understated release, not without it’s quirky, pretty charms.
