Warbringer
Worlds Torn Asunder

By Metal Billy

LA Thrash metallers Warbringer drop their 3rd album Worlds Torn Asunder like a neutron bomb to the skull.

Opening salvo Living Weapon sets the scene for a ferocious barrage of top notch thrash / speed metal - these guys have learnt well from the old school thrashers ( having Gary Holt of Exodus as a mentor and producer of their 2nd album helps ) and Shattered Like Glass flies by as guitarists John Laux and Adam Carroll deliver huge riffs thick and fast and vocalist John Kevill spits out the lyrics - he's no Ronnie James but keeps within his limited range and maintains the rage at all times.

Wake Up Destroy and Future Ages Gone slow it down a notch before the vicious Savagery turns up the heat again. These guys know what they like and throw down the gauntlet with Treacherous Tongue and an uplifting song about Russian Gulags in Enemy of The State.

And the assault continues with penultimate song Sacrifice being one of the album's best and the chugging closer Execute Them All rounding things off nicely.

These guys are improving with every outing not only in their musicianship but are starting to vary the tempo of songs and Kevill's vocal delivery to make a more interesting album. But there are no ballads on the horizon .. unless it is a cover of the S.O.D. classic " The Ballad of Jimmy Hendrix " ..Thrash on !
