Irish long hairs The Answer play a gloriously fervent style of hard rock n’ roll heavily influenced by AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, Aerosmith and a host of other 70’s legends.

After two albums and a wealth of experience touring in support of some of those very influences, including a long stint with Accadacca, they have graced us with “412 Days of Rock n’ Roll” – a DVD/CD double whammy guaranteed to knock your socks off.

The CD features nine live cuts from Belfast, Houston and Dallas, including their ‘hit’ ‘Under The Sky’, and it zooms along at 100 miles an hour in exactly the same way an AC/DC show does – all killer, no filler, balls out, hollering rock n’ no bullshit roll!

Singer Cormac Neeson possesses a messianic charisma and The Answer deliver their hard rocking tunes with a near-religious intensity – something only possible if you totally believe in what you’re doing and give yourself over to it completely.

In short, these guys – and this album – kicks some serious butt!

Tack on a demo of new song ‘Fooled Me’ and a studio cover of Rose Tattoo’s ‘Rock n Roll Outlaw’ that even Rose Tatts mainman Angry Anderson has said brought a lump to his throat and “does us proud”, and you have a wonderful hour of old fashioned hype-free rock n’ roll, which is just the ticket sometimes!

The DVD contains a full live set, all nine video clips the band have made to date, loads of behind the scenes and interview bits, and the effort the band have put into this prove it is far from a stopgap between albums or a revenue raiser – this is one classy package that will make you want to get to the end and go back to the start again.
