You want something a little bit different? A change from the same old genre-defined Rock N Roll? Yes? Well these guys just might be the thing for you. Here's a CD that seemingly strides the genres and defies easy description, whilst at the same time not coming across as a band on a desperate search for an identity. What ties it all together for me is Ron Travis' distinctive voice.

Opening track 'Baby Come Back' is a great track, it is a thoroughly modern rock song but in it I hear all kinds of echoes from early eighties UK alt-rock to classic seventies solid songmanship. It's a diverse album as I said but it works, there's something for everyone, a bit of classic rock, a bit of the eighties sunset strip, even a hint of some of the stripped back sounds of the post-Nirvana decade.

As far as debuts go there's a lot to like and where do you start? 'Trainwreck' is a great fists in the air anthem; 'Just My Luck' is doom-laden Ozzy era Sabbath; 'Slave Yourself' is a nice and dirty and leaves a nu-metal falvor on the tongue. All are beautifully executed and the band sounds like it's paid its dues as musically they are on their game.

Best for me here are the trio of 'Baby Come Back'; 'Trainwreck' and top pick 'Troy City Blues' probably the most 'eighties sounding' of the songs here - great song and love the guitar in there. A cover of the Allman's classic 'Midnight Rider' is very nice too.

I'm expecting a lot from these guys in the future, go buy your copy today or better still go see them and tell us all about it- I'll bet they're great live.
