Going Out in Style is the seventh studio album by Boston’s ‘Dropkick Murphy’s.’ It’s the band's second studio release on their ‘Born & Bred’ Records label, following the 2007's album ‘The Meanest of Times.’

‘Going Out in Style’ is not about the band calling it a day, far from it!! What you get here is a concept album telling a story of life, love and even death . This is a great cd that ploughs along at a great pace right from the opening track ‘Hang Em High’ through to the last track ‘The Irish Rover’ which is a cover song made famous by ‘The Pogues’ and ‘The Dubliners.’ You even get the boss( Bruce Springsteen) himself play on the track ‘Peg O My Heart.’

The Murphy’s embellish the Irish heritage and fuse it with their celtic punk rock sound and come up with a fine studio album. If you like this kind of irish celtic music, then ‘Going Out In Style’ is a must.
