Hi, for starters wonderful weblog, but is any person else seeing the sidebar all messed up making use of firefox edition two? It truly is pushed about to your centre for me. =-=
There’s not much evidence of Hank 3’s taste in rock and metal on his latest offering, drenched as it is in a country drawl, fiddles and steel guitars. As far as country goes its good enough stuff, confidently played and tackling traditional subject matter in Hank’s inimitable style – ‘Getting Drunk And Fallin’ Down’, ‘Drinkin’ Ain’t Hard To Do’ and ‘Rebel Within’ all celebrate the rebellious Southern spirit (and spirits!).
The last two songs show more country punk attitude than the rest of the album – ‘Tore Up And Loud’ shouts “Well I know how to fuck and I know how to fight, gonna raise hell on a Saturday night” and ‘Drinkin’ Over Momma’ is an amusing redneck slice of country grit.
No doubt there is a great Southern rawk album inside Hank – but this ain’t it!
