The title track conjures up the ghosts of death-defying hangovers past then ‘Oak Tree’ channels a drunken Rage Against The Machine jamming with Black Stone Cherry, and that pinch of Southern fried Skynyrdness oozes through just about every guitar riff and solo herein all the way through ‘I’m No Good’ with it’s Kings of Leon finger picking and “run away from me, cos I’m no good” chorus, to album closer ‘Good Times’, a ten and a half minute jammy romp which has an almost mantra-like effect in it’s droll repetition of the “good times are gone again, good times” refrain.
The more I play this album the more it draws me in, hypnotically – give it a chance and you might just like it too.
